Drive growth of Twipe in German Speaking Markets

Twipe is a Belgian technology company based in Leuven. We offer a state-of-the-art digital publishing and analytics SaaS platform, used by leading newspapers across Europe. We are innovation and technology leaders in the area of digital edition based publishing. Every month 8 million digital editions are downloaded from our platform. We help newspapers including The TimesLe Monde and Ouest-France grow their subscription and reader revenues.

Our innovation capability has been recognised by Google, which has granted Twipe funding from its Digital News Initiative fund three times already. We are actively investing in machine learning and artificial intelligence to understand and predict reader preferences and optimize their reading experiences.

In order to grow our presence in the German Speaking Markets, we are looking for a Sales Development Executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Build up knowledge of the German speaking newspaper publishing markets
    • Know the media landscape, key players and the key competitors
    • Be up to date with changes
  • Build up knowledge of the Twipe Solutions and Services
  • Build and grow our business in Germany:
    • Proactively reach out to the right contacts from newspaper publishers
    • Organize and give short demos and pitches
    • Qualify newspaper publishers ePaper strategy from a BANT perspective (Budget, Authority, Need and Timeframe)
    • Follow up and report on conversations
    • Plan and schedule sales presentations
  • Align to the agile cycle of the company
    • Participate in daily stand-ups with the whole team, sprint goal setting and sprint-end demo meetings
  • Work together with the Business Development team

Profile

  • Entrepreneurial, willing to take on full accountability for business growth
  • 1 – 2 years experience in sales, preferably in SaaS models with long sales cycles
  • Strong motivation and self-drive to getting things done and maintain focus
  • Passion for the newspaper and media industry
  • Excellent language skills in English and German
  • Affinity with mobile technology
  • Willing to work in a dynamic, high intensity environment
  • Familiarity with CRM technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum bachelor degree in Economics 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, ability to communicate up to C-level
