Thomas Schultz-Homberg

Thomas Schultz-Homberg recently became the CEO of DuMont’s Regionalmedienverlags in Cologne.

He is responsible for the development of the media company and in particular the further digitization of the daily newspapers Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger and Express. Previously he was the Chief Digital Officer at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung since 2013.

Before that, Schultz-Homberg was a member of the management team responsible for digital business at DDV Mediengruppe (Sächsische Zeitung), a subsidiary of Gruner + Jahr, which pioneered introducing paid content in Germany.

The graduate of the Axel Springer journalism school held various positions in publishing houses, including as deputy editor-in-chief at Morgenpost Sachsen in Dresden, as editor-in-chief at Sächsische Zeitung and as managing director of Dresdner Magazin Verlag.
