Hey there! I’m Benjamin, I study engineering science at KU Leuven. I just finished my bachelor’s and I’m going to start my master’s degree in engineering science next year. Outside of my studies, I like to spend time with friends and play the guitar.
Why did you choose to do a summer internship at Twipe?
I first encountered Twipe at the VTK job fair. The company stood out to me because of the vibrant team of young, passionate engineers, which perfectly aligned with what I was seeking in an internship.
Which projects did you work on, and what stood out?
I worked on developing a completely new tool to simplify structured logging in Python. This project allowed me to dive deep into Python, logging, and the products managed by the Data and AI team at Twipe. I particularly enjoyed the challenge of designing an entirely new architecture for this tool, which pushed me to think creatively.
How did you find the vibe at Twipe?
The vibe at Twipe is incredible. The frequent after-work game nights are always a highlight. The people here are not only passionate about their work but are also eager to learn and share their knowledge with others.
What is the key thing you learned during your internship?
Coming from an engineering background, I found it fascinating to observe how technical experts interact with colleagues from different disciplines. I learned how crucial these discussions are and how important effective communication is in a collaborative environment.
Would you recommend Twipe to future interns?
Absolutely! I would recommend Twipe to anyone with a genuine passion for software engineering who wants to work alongside fun, young, and talented people.
