Twipe nominated as finalist for prestigious Lion of the Export Award 2022

Twipe has been nominated as one of the 3 finalists for the prestigious Flanders Lion of the Export Award 2022 from Flanders Investment in Trade in the category of companies with less than 49 employees. The award is in its 21st year and recognises the extraordinary work done by Flemish companies expanding their business abroad.

Through the award, Flanders’ Agency for Sustainable International Business emphasise the huge importance of export for the economy of Flanders. Winners of the award receive recognition for their work and new opportunities in Belgium and abroad through FIT’s foreign network.  

Twipe CEO & Founder Danny Lein commented: 

We are very honoured to be nominated for the Flanders Lion of the Export Award 2022. Our team has made tremendous efforts to serve newspapers in 13 countries and generate 92% of our revenues internationally. This is a strong motivation to strengthen our global growth ambitions and play in the Champions League of news media technologies

Nominated alongside Twipe in the category of small companies are CRV Corthouts and fellow Leuven based Xenomatix

Over the course of the next few months, each nominee is provided with a mentor and will go through a series of stages to boost their chance of winning. These steps include creating a company video, delivering comprehensive competition files and presenting their business to an expert jury. You can read more about the award and the process here.  

Previous winners of the award include Essers, Mediagenix, Luminex, Sioen and BOPLAN.
