Increasing demand for journalism during the corona crisis has led to new peaks for Twipe
March 2020 has been a record month for Twipe. We have seen a strong surge of usage on our digital newspaper editions platform.
We have never seen more interest in digital newspaper edition reading than last month. People are not only hungry for news, they are also looking for a good mix of analysis, infotainment and brainteasers included in their digital newspaper.

Multiple daily records have been broken:
- We served more than 650,000 digital subscribers on our platform
- Overall usage has increased by 55% compared to the previous month
- One digital evening edition reached 500,000 readers on March 14th
- Our back-end platform requests more than doubled to 2,000 per second during peak times
Strong Appetite for Evening Editions
During these chaotic times of the corona outbreak, we observe a particularly strong appetite for evening newspaper editions as well as more reading time during the weekend. We believe that the digital editions provide additional and valuable information on top of the numerous breaking news feeds.
March 2020 has been a record month for L’édition du Soir with 4.5 million visits (+92% vs February) and 21 million pageviews (+41% vs February). Twipe has been a solid partner in the creation and distribution of this flagship digital product.
